It's Time to Listen

Children spend enormous amounts of time listening in school. They don't lack opportunities to practice listening. They do, however, need sequenced, organized instruction that will help them learn how to listen better in the very place they need to do it best: the classroom. It's Time To Listen uses a metacognitive approach directed toward teaching children how to listen in a conscious way. This approach increases learning in all children, but particularly those with weak auditory or attending skills. This program is perfect for use with individuals with central auditory processing disorders, attention-deficit disorder, Asperger syndrome, or high-functioning autism.
The interest level is approximately Grades 2–6, but the program can easily be adapted for older or younger students.
