Designed for reluctant and struggling readers, each 36-page book includes a fascinating, fact-filled nonfiction section followed by a fiction section with two versions of an engaging story—a full text story and a graphic novel—on facing pages. The two parallel stories in the fiction section presented at different ability levels allow access for students reading well below grade level.
