This book is designed to teach students in grades 2–4 to think and learn creatively about insects. It provides ten different stories about insects; each is followed by a vocabulary lesson, discussion questions, creative questions and extra activities. A research unit is included as a culminating activity. The objectives of this book are to encourage students to learn about insects, to use the acquired learning, and to develop something new through a research project. In today's society, research is so important for the student. The skills needed to complete research will be used through elementary school, high school, college and careers. Educators must give students the skill to successfully complete research beginning in elementary school.
