Newberry Winners, Research and the Internet

Extend the world of fine chil- dren’s literature using selected Newbery winners, honor books, picture books, print resources, and Internet sites. Activities and research projects allow students to show an understanding of the material in creative ways. Activities involving the Inter- net make possible the connecting of real people and the world of literature. 30 books including Holes, Black Pearl, Charlotte’s Web, A Wrinkle in Time, Bridge to Terabithia, The Giver, Hatchet, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Whipping Boy and more.
